Join me, Elaine Trigiani, on Saturday 14 December for a look at Leonardo da Vinci and water.
Leonardo is famous for his boundless curiosity and the motions and power of water became one of the deepest of rabbit holes, one of the principle focuses of his study. Typically for Leonardo his research on water led to studies and discoveries of spirals and vortices not only in water but in spontaneous plants and Renaissance hair styles. It led to an underhanded plot formed together with Niccolò Macchiavelli, the discovery of how our heart valves function and it sowed the seeds for details in his paintings.
After our look at this aspect of Leonardo’s oeuvre, Lorenzo will be in the house to demo acqua pazza or crazy water. A recipe typical to Italy’s long Tyrrhenian coast, acqua pazza is quick, easy, good and good for you.
